Hours:

Day Shift- 5:00AM-1PM Monday-Friday with overtime as needed

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Set up equipment and lay out fabrication project from blueprints/technical drawings.
• Cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saw.
• Join material using adhesive and clamps.
• Measure components and finished project/product using a variety of measuring devices to ensure correct dimensions within required tolerances.
• Complete roll tooling changeovers using hand tools and maintain equipment, supplies and machinery safely.
• Troubleshoot machinery, material, saw, measuring equipment and tooling and making adjustments needed for successful completion of project.
• Visually inspect extrusions and check against blueprints/technical drawings and report defects.
• Participate in continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing activities. Flexible/adaptable to assignment changes, will jump in when help is needed and learn new things.
• Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
• Perform all work in a safe manner; use proper lock-out procedures during repairs or machine adjustments.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and make certain that all safety equipment is in proper working order.
• Perform these and other related duties as assigned or directed.

AIR DRIVER - Equipment Operators here at West Marine Center operate motorized riding equipment within the Distribution Center, manually load and/or unload trailers, moving merchandise to designated areas, and putting away or pulling merchandise.
