PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs cycle counts of merchandise or supplies in stock and posts total to inventory records, either manually or electronically.
• Checks in drivers as they arrive to ensure paperwork and product match.
• Works with inventory returns and directs drivers for proper placement of product.
• Ensures the dock area is clear and clean and ensures that the dock area is secure.
• Follows & maintains cycle count schedule, bin audits, RC18 (product not on truck).
• Assists in researching and resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Research negative inventory values.
• Research inventory discrepancies with the assistance of IC Lead
• Completing product return put-aways.
• Assists with recouping damages and coordinating donations.
• Conducts PO audits daily.
• Performs additional duties but not limited to assigning new pick locations, duplicate pick bins, bread inventory, research and correction of invalid pallet ID’s, inventory requests from K12 Solutions and buyers.
• Monitor inventory for proper rotation using FIFO/FEFO to minimize spoilage and shrink
• Verify accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments against purchase orders and invoices by doing audits
• Inspect incoming products for quality, temperature compliance, and labeling standards
• Ensure proper storage of goods in dry, refrigerated, and frozen environments
• Support recall processes by identifying and isolating affected inventory quickly and accurately
• Generate reports on inventory variances, stock levels, and product movement

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate heat treat lines assigned, following established procedures and production schedules

• Meet hourly production rates expected in the heat treat department

• Inspect manufactured items during production runs, including checking blade hardness, bend tests, and other quality checks

• Record inspection data in the SPC (Statistical Process Control) computer system

• Use measuring and test equipment such as hardness testers, bend testers, and grinders; learn to operate all departmental equipment and maintain it in good condition

• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety requirements and written procedures

• Be open to cross-training in other departments if selected

Skills and Requirements

• Basic math skills, literacy, and ability to follow work instructions

• Superior motor skills, ability to read flow charts, and proficiency in using various measuring/test equipment

• Must become proficient in machinery operation before the end of the training period

• Punctual, conscientious, and honest while performing tasks

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Effectively utilize all capabilities of the Trend/Infor purchasing system. 

• Manage the Direct Order (DO) process. Send DOs to vendors, confirm, track and communicate with the Sales Team. 

• Confirm all PO/DOs by ensuring Vendor orders match (pricing, due date, delivery address, etc.) 

• Maintain accurate information for all PO/DO orders (including back orders) in system 

• Monitor select vendors for timely replenishment.  

• Notify Buyers of any discrepancies. 

• Enter ETAs at the line level when POs will not ship complete. 

• When vendors are arranging freight and billing us for it, confirm shipping charges and enter information on PO prior to the POs being received.  

• Prepare and maintain open orders with accurate information daily.  

• Identify late POs and address them with vendors. 

• Identify POs that have not been confirmed and/or have not been printed. 

• Identify backorders that need to be confirmed with vendors. 

• Communicate with Sales Team regarding PO/DO due dates and custom orders. 

• With specified vendors, or as requested, coordinate with the vendor, AP, and Receiving when inbound POs have shipping errors, missing product, or freight damage (when the vendor arranged the freight). 

• Prioritize POs for Receiving when they are backed-up. 

• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with all personnel and vendors. 

• Special projects as assigned.
