Job description

Good, stable company seeking to fill a position for an experienced shipper. Safety is of utmost importance. Must keep safety in mind at all times and practice all safety measures in work environment.

Responsibilities include:

– Daily inspection of forklift equipment to ensure it is in operable conditions and report any defects immediately if found.

– Unloading freight vehicles and putting all materials in its place in an organized and sorted manner.

– Ensuring floors are clear for pathway of forklifts.

– Inventory control and maintenance.

– Setting up pallets of materials and ensuring all product is packaged according to our industry standards. Material must arrive to its destination in peak condition with no damage.

– Coordinating with our shipping team to print labels and set up freight pick-ups.

– Time is of an essence with many of our shipments, person must practice good time management.

– Assist team to pull product for manufacturing and print team.

– When work is slow, help production team with product manufacturing.

– Ensure facilities safety criterias are met on a day to day basis.

– Help unload containers and organize inventory as needed.

Qualifications:

– Must have 3+ years’ experience in operating a sit-down and stand-up reach forklift.

– Must be detail oriented.

– Basic computer knowledge to be able to print labels and track inventory.

– Bilingual English/Spanish
