Job Title:

CNC Operator/ Machinist

 

Compensation:

$24 – $33 Per hour

 

Work Schedule:

1st shift – 7:00am – 4:00pm

2nd shift – 3:0pm-11:00pm

 

Monday – Friday with Occasional Saturdays and Sundays

 

Job Descriptions:

  • Calculate the dimensions or tolerances of workpieces, products, or equipment, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers.
  • Measure the dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
  • Operate cutting/grinding equipment.
  • Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning.
  • Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.      
  • Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine the methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.
  • Confer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
  • Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools.
  • Operate welding equipment.
  • Support projects from planning and fabrication through assembly, inspection, and testing, using knowledge of machine functions, metal properties and mathematics. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in CNC Machining
  • Manual machining experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift 30-40 lbs repetitively and the ability to lift, carry, push/pull, bend over, squat, and reach.
  • Trade school or vocational training preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with OSHA and Company safety requirements
  • The collaborative, open-minded, and professional communication style and demonstrated demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with employees at every responsibility level.
  • Performing duties largely of a heavy, repetitive physical nature such as lifting and moving.
  • Read work instructions and interpret production drawings.
