CNC Operator/ Machinist Gainesville, GA Apply Now Overview Base Pay: $ Per Hour Job Number: 1193381 Industry: unavailable Employee Type: TTH Description Job Title: CNC Operator/ Machinist Compensation: $24 – $33 Per hour Work Schedule: 1st shift – 7:00am – 4:00pm 2nd shift – 3:0pm-11:00pm Monday – Friday with Occasional Saturdays and Sundays Job Descriptions: Calculate the dimensions or tolerances of workpieces, products, or equipment, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers. Measure the dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications. Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders. Operate cutting/grinding equipment. Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning. Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition. Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine the methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products. Confer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information. Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools. Operate welding equipment. Support projects from planning and fabrication through assembly, inspection, and testing, using knowledge of machine functions, metal properties and mathematics. REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent Minimum two (2) years of experience in CNC Machining Manual machining experience preferred but not required Ability to lift 30-40 lbs repetitively and the ability to lift, carry, push/pull, bend over, squat, and reach.
