Duties and Responsibilities for the Welder Position:

• Safely and efficiently use welding and shop equipment.
• Ability to operate overhead crane, forklift, and other hand tools.
• Load and position parts to fixtures and close clamps to hold parts securely.
• Set weld equipment controls for proper current and voltage.
• Maintain safety standards and operate equipment safely.
• Fluent in reading oprints and other instructions.
• Weld parts per print to meet customer and quality requirements.
• Solve operational problems.
• Perform routine maintenance as required.
• Prepare requisitions for materials and supplies.
• Design and build weld fixtures when required.
• Efficiently populate weld assemblies.

Required Skills & Abilities for the Welder Position:

• Ability to read and comprehend complext prints.
• Fluent in weld symbols as well as welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, etc.
• Ability to weld in all directions.
• Excellent understanding of decimals, fractions, and metric equivalations.
• Experienced with aluminum, stell, and stainless steel materials.
