Duties and Responsibilities for the Order Selector Position:

• Follow a standard route supplying the necessary parts, help with changeovers maintaining the standard work and the material flow. Speed of the rounds should be based on the processing needs
• Supply the stations with the necessary materials according with standardized process
• Utilizes manual visual cards, computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks.
• Looks at production schedule orders and looks parts up in system and pull kits for scheduled systems for that week
• Need to ensure that production flow is not interrupt and the workers are only devoted to value added tasks
• Ensures correct parts on kit carts for systems on the schedule.
• Works with production lines anytime there are part discrepancies.
• Ensures that all carts in designated areas for structure carts for systems scheduled that day.
• Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
• Participates in 5S activities within the warehouse and outside storage areas.
• Performs cycle counts of inventory and non-inventory items as requested utilizing hand counts or weight counts.
