Hire Dynamics is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Picker Packer job in Burlington, NC.  Apply Now if you meet the qualifications listed below!

Pay: $16.00

Shift: 6am – 3pm, M-F

Responsibilities for this Picker Packer job include:

  • Sorts orders following company or departmental guidelines.
  • Picks specimens according to customer order.
  • Checks the items against Packing List or Bill of Material.
  • Performs final quality control.
  • Pre-wraps items, dry-pack items, pack items in buckets as necessary. Fills buckets with holding fluid.
  • Participates in any or all stages of biological specimen preparation, which includes but is not limited to dissection, injection of embalming fluid, and injection of latex to aid in identification of circulatory system and other systems.
  • Cross trains for other positions within the department.
  • Follows safety regulations and complies with all applicable state and federal laws and20 regulations.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications for this Pick Packer job include:

  • Ability to work with forceps, scissors, scalpel, and other hand tools.
  • Ability to use barrel wrench.
  • Ability to use dry pack machine, and various sealing machines.
  • Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. 
  • Ability to make quick, coordinated movements of one or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Employee must have a high level of manual dexterity.
  • Ability to keep the hand and arm steady while making an arm movement or while holding the arm and hand in one position.
  • Ability to see details of objects at close range.
  • Ability to work with others to insure the work is complete. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group organization.
  • Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and to perform these operations using units of size and weight measurements, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
