As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for providing the day-to-day operating and technical skills required to continually ensure that quality product is manufactured at a cost that is equal to or less than the standard cost Apply Now if you meet the qualifications listed below! Pay: $16 – $16.35 Shift: 6am – 2pm, Mon-Fri 2pm – 6am, Mon – Fri 10pm – 6am, Mon-Fri Responsibilities for this Machine Operator job include:• Before shift begins, review converting schedule with employees from previous shift to discuss any machine or materials issues• Review production converting schedule for any special instructions• Monitor materials so that they are continually staged for next order• Continually review SOPs for production adherence and if issues/changes need to be considered especially Slitting 101• Assure a quality product is being produced at all times• Manage material to reduce waste• Assist with personnel training• Create and foster a customer awareness, “can do” attitude with the other employees• Monitor team and ensure areas are neat and clean at all times• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and within safety guidelines/procedures• Perform other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor Job Requirements Qualifications for this Machine Operator job include:• High School diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor degree a plus• Exhibit high level of professionalism and tact in fast paced environment• Work accurately under pressure• Ability to multi-task• Basic experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word• Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions• Strong interpersonal skills• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English used in the workplace PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:• Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work shift• Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction• Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions• Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws• Lift and carry up to and above 75 pounds• Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously• Must exhibit very detailed informational accuracy• Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects WORK ENVIRONMENT:• Manufacturing Environment (Hot in summer and cool in winter)• Occasional weekend work may be required Click on Apply Now to be considered for this Machine Operator job in Graham, NC or you can visit our website www.hiredynamics.com to search for other opportunities that are currently available.
