This is a temporary to permanent opportunity. As a Forklift Operator you will be responsible for staging material so that machinery operates continuous production and ensure material is warehoused to specified standard, that proper stock rotation is maintained and that location of materials are accurate Apply Now if you meet the qualifications listed below! Pay: $16.35 Shift: 1st 6a – 2p; M-F Responsibilities for this Forklift Operator job include:• Operate forklift type equipment in a safe manner • Monitor coating production schedule to determine needs while utilizing picks for proper material identification • Communicate with the Production Scheduler • Stage material while verifying quantities or damaged goods • Maintain warehouse organization by performing material transfers and following established standards for storage resulting in accurate inventory • Communicate timely any issues to appropriate parties: damaged goods, damaged equipment, etc. • Ensure warehouse is properly maintained and clean • Review roll labels and stacking of materials to ensure accuracy of location • Sweep, if needed, to ensure warehouse is free of debris • Continuously rotate inventory to ensure FIFO • Move any butt rolls to trailer as needed • Move any totes or drums to wash water area for disposal • Place skids and debris from incoming raw material into designated locations daily • Monitor forklift maintenance • Assist with inventory as needed • Assist with personnel training and ensure new employees are properly trained to safety standards • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures • Ensure all activities are conducted safely and within safety guidelines/procedures • Maintain a clean, safe working environment • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager Job Requirements Qualifications for this Forklift Operator job include:• High school diploma or equivalent• Commitment to excellence and high standards• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word• Ability to manage priorities and multitask• Ability to work independently and with others• Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions• Ability to perform the physical labor necessary• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English used in the workplace DETAILED MECHANICAL SKILLS REQUIRED• Forklift driver experience• Squeeze truck experience a plus PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:• Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work shift• Ability to stay focused; position is very detailed and mentally demanding• Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction• Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions• Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws• Lift and carry up to and above 75 pounds.• Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously• Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects WORK ENVIRONMENT:• Manufacturing Environment (Hot in summer and cool in winter)• Occasional weekend work may be required Click on Apply Now to be considered for this Forklift Operator job in Graham, NC or you can visit our website www.hiredynamics.com to search for other opportunities that are currently available.
