Principal Accountabilities

Pick product and package appropriately while meeting quality and productivity standards.

Must follow applicable processes and procedures accurately and consistently.

Complete replenishments / putaways as assigned in a timely manner.

Cross-train in one or more other positions in the warehouse.

Transfer to other departments to balance workload and meet same day order processing goals.

Must follow safe work practices and all safety procedures.

May require standing and or walking for 8 hour shifts.

Lifting up to 50 pounds.

If assigned to Shelf or Case Picking, must be able to work at heights and drive a lift truck/cherry picker

 (Order Picker).

May be required to work overtime on short notice.

Able to accurately count product by hand and via a scale (weigh count).

Must be able to learn and use warehouse automation and information systems including PC’s RF guns, scales, bar code scanners, etc.

Previous warehouse picking experience desirable.

If assigned to shelf or case picking, must be able to become certified to operate order picker lift truck.

Position Dimensions:

This position is responsible for picking and packing product for customer orders for the Gaffney DC.  Reports to an Operations Supervisor.
