Job Posting: Physical Lab Testing

Job Description:

A Lab Technician will report to the Lab Manager and will assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures.  The Lab Technician will operate equipment safely and efficiently to ensure the very best quality is produced to Milliken and Company’s customers.

Qualifications:

• Able to interact effectively with management, piers, and work independently, and/or as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and be capable of using motorized equipment (fork trucks, tuggers, etc.).
• Must be self-driven and a team player

Responsibilities:

• Operate each job in the department according to established procedures.
• Follow written and oral instructions from department leaders.
• Maintaining high level of housekeeping and cleanliness, keeping a safe working environment.
• Ensure 1^st quality product is being produced at all times
• Perform laboratory tests including flame retardency burning, heat history, color fastness, and light fastness.
• Transport fabric and material from one area to the next using different types of material handling equipment.

Comments:

• This job will require a lot of lifting.
• This person must also be able to take indirect direction from PIA’s just as though it was there immediate manager.
