Obtains the necessary materials, drawings, and tools to perform each job. Communicates with other employees, that either receive or supply parts to them, to resolve quality and production problems. Interprets drawings and sketches and does layout work on piping, structural, plate, etc. Calculates any dimensions necessary to complete the assigned job. Fits-up and tack welds materials to be welded. Welds and partially assembles parts when required to complete job. Works without print to make replacement maintenance parts. Measures, marks, burns, cuts, bevels, etc., material to prepare for welding. Allowing for shrinkage and expansion.
