Packaging Workers are responsible for preparing and packing items for shipment in a warehouse or production facility. The duties and responsibilities of a Packaging Worker include :Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand tools Read work orders to determine the type and quantity of items that need to be packaged Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material Measure, weigh, and count products and materials to ensure conformance to specifications Seal containers and materials using glues, fasteners, tape, and hand tools Load finished packages into trucks, vans, and cars for delivery Maintain records of packaged items Keep workspace clean and organized to maintain safety and efficiency Operate packaging machinery as required
