Job Posting: Extrusion Operator

Ability to use all foundation skills necessary and apply them creatively to solve standardized and a few non-standardized problems. Decisions are required to adjust the production equipment to meet company standards and customer specifications. Associate must have some broad skills such as basic record keeping, production workflow and monitoring. Operation of specialized equipment that involves special training is also required, such as the extrusion equipment, servers, armor forming equipment, steel accumulation, welding system, cable printing equipment and cable take-up equipment.

This is mostly repetitive work, a few routine tasks must be precisely performed over and over again to set procedures, sequence, and pace. Job requires frequent visual attention to the operation, close attention to detail, and a great deal of concentration on a consistent basis. The associate must adhere to and achieve exact levels of performance, precise set limits, tolerances, and standards. On occasion there is variation in the work when different cable construction, and trial runs are involved.
