This machine operator position consists of the setup and operation of an extruder(s) and support equipment for the purpose of water proofing, strengthen, and placing an inner or outer sheave (jacket) around a fiber optic cable core. The LT Jacketing Associate typically works as a two-person team, responsible for setting up and operating the jacketing line equipment to produce cable products, which meet or exceed customer and internal specifications. The LT Jacketing Associate performs quality checks, completes paperwork, cleans and organizes their work area and monitors the product being produced.
