Manual Press Brake Operator Job Duties:

• Operate manual press brakes (mechanical or hydraulic) with no CNC or automated controls
• Set up press brake jobs from scratch: tooling selection, punch/die installation, and alignment
• Manually set up bend depth, backguage, and stops using hand controls and measurements
• Perform trail bends and manual adjustments to achieve correct angles and dimensions
• Read and interpret blueprints and bend drawing without relying on programmed sequences
• Use manual measuring tools (protractor, angle finder, calipers, tape measure, square, etc.)
• Troubleshoot bend accuracy issues thorough hands on adjustments, not program edits
• Run short runs and one-off parts requiring set up changes
• Maintain consistent quality through operator skill and experience, not automation

The Quality Inspector I is responsible for using measuring devices to examine parts purchased and manufactured in house for accuracy and workmanship per engineering drawings.

 

Schedule - Morning Shift:

M-Th 5am-3:30pm or T-F 5am-3:30pm (dependent upon department)

 

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Required 0-2+ years of demonstrated quality inspector experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge and experience in using basic measuring devices for quality evaluations.

Basic Blueprint reading and GD&T

ERP electronic transactions (SAP) preferred

 

Additional Responsibilities:

Manage Non-conforming material within the different departments and enter the information into the computer system.

Perform various audits in work cells such as assembly & test, machining, shipping, receiving & the stockroom.

Calibrate torque guns, torque wrenches, transducers among other tools and log in to calibration software.

Ensure compliance with AAR lab testing
