Technical Team Lead Lawrenceville, GA Apply Now Overview Base Pay: $20 Per Hour Job Number: 1279402 Industry: unavailable Employee Type: TTH Description Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Technical Team Lead will follow all the established procedures and policies while operating and maintaining complex machinery. This position will also result in leading employees in day-to-day operations along with assisting the Production Supervisor to ensure all employees work safely and follow safety procedures and policies. This role will involve troubleshooting issues, collaborating with Maintenance and Engineering, conducting quality checks, as well as training new team members. They will also be expected to complete any other tasks assigned by the supervisor while abiding by all policies described in the company handbook. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Assist the Supervisor in leading the departmental safety program, including housekeeping, REPS participation, and the investigation of all accidents and injuries. Assist Supervisor leading the department’s day-to-day operations to ensure completion of daily targets on time. Ensure quality control processes are maintained and practiced daily, which may include completing quality sheets, visuals inspections, and monitoring the production process. Assist the supervisor to train and develop all employees in company policies and procedures. Promote and maintain a team environment consistent with company values and principles. Display willingness and availability to work irregular hours and overtime as needed. Ensure team members maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Actively promote and drive 5S in the work area. Display a positive, “Can Do” attitude- be a change agent. Set up, program, operate, or tend computerized or manual woodworking machines. Examine raw material for defects and ensure conformity to size and other specification standards. Examine finished goods for smoothness, shape, angle, depth-of-cut, or conformity to specifications and verify dimensions, visually and using hands, rules, calipers, templates, or gauges. Start machines, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is operating properly. Monitor operation of machines and adjust to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications. Install and adjust blades, cutterheads, bits, or sanding-belts, using hand tools and rulers. Change alignment and adjustment of machine guides to prevent defects in finished products, using hand tools. Determine product specifications and materials, work methods, and machine setup requirements, according to blueprints, standard working instructions, drawings, or work orders. Select blades, cutter heads, cams, bits, or belts, according to workpieces, machine functions, or product specifications. Remove and replace worn parts, bits, belts, sandpaper, or shaping tools. Inspect and mark completed workpieces and stack them onto carts, in boxes, or on conveyors so that they can be moved to the next workstation. Clean or maintain products, machines, or work areas to OEM specifications. Collaborate with Engineers and Maintenance with setups, programming, parameter adjustments, PM’s, etc. Drive material yield improvements and scrap reductions. Ability to accurately troubleshoot and address root causes of quality defects and machine downtime. Conduct daily spot inspections of product quality to ensure processes stay on target. Provide appropriate feedback to Operators, Team Leads, Supervisors, Maintenance, and Managers. Attend vendor training and work with outside technicians to learn proper methods and techniques. Optimize production efficiency and adhere to safety protocols. Train and mentor Machine Operators on proper operating methods and techniques.
