Cold Press Operator Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize tooling and materials for cold pressing of powdered metal diamond segments.      
• Prepare cold press tooling by measuring of height and parallelism.
• Assemble tool die parts in the cold press machine.      
• Remove and inspect cold press dies from the machine.    
• Organize and select proper tooling to fulfill work requirements.      
• Clean equipment for preparation of subsequent orders.     
• Setup and adjust machine parameters.    
• Perform quality checks on segments that include micrometer measurement of height, length and thickness.
• Record quality and order completion date.      
• Evaluate and confer with Quality Control on manufacturing process inspection techniques and standards. 

• Determine quantity of raw material to be run during your shift and ensure an adequate supply is ready and positioned for production. Double check the quality of raw material before processing
• Inspect and trouble-shoot equipment before shift and throughout your shift. Conduct minor repairs and adjustments as needed to keep machinery running and minimize downtime.
• Oversee the loading of raw material into machinery and adjust as needed to match the rate of output, ensuring that material does not back up in the machine or the machine runs out of material to process.

• Assist and support operators in the assigned department during production runs
• Perform quality checks and inspect work completed by operators
• Identify and report maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly

• Enforce proper procedures and ensure operators follow all required processes
