Stocking Associate Stocking associates stock items within a warehouse, obtain shipments, and make sure they’re accurate. They also create product labels, maintain inventories, prepare products for shipment, and return defective materials. This type of warehouse work may require some previous experience.
Laborer If you love to work with your hands, this is the warehouse work for you. Laborers perform manual labor to help keep the warehouse running smoothly. They use power and hand tools to assist workers in the warehouse.
Forklift Driver Do you want a fulfilling and low-stress warehouse job? Consider forklift driving. Forklift drivers sort, load, and unload pallets and boxes of freight. They also secure pallets and boxes using the appropriate tools and adhere to safety procedures and policies (because you can never know who isn’t paying attention.) But forklift drivers don’t just drive. They also typically solve simple math and use computer software. There are some entry-level positions available, but some experience is typically required.
Materials Handler Material handlers are essential to keeping a smooth-running warehouse. In this position, you’ll move raw materials to production lines, then move finished products to a warehouse or shipping container.
