Job Posting: Finishing Line Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate heat treat lines assigned, following established procedures and production schedules

• Meet hourly production rates expected in the heat treat department

• Inspect manufactured items during production runs, including checking blade hardness, bend tests, and other quality checks

• Record inspection data in the SPC (Statistical Process Control) computer system

• Use measuring and test equipment such as hardness testers, bend testers, and grinders; learn to operate all departmental equipment and maintain it in good condition

• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety requirements and written procedures

• Be open to cross-training in other departments if selected

Skills and Requirements

• Basic math skills, literacy, and ability to follow work instructions

• Superior motor skills, ability to read flow charts, and proficiency in using various measuring/test equipment

• Must become proficient in machinery operation before the end of the training period

• Punctual, conscientious, and honest while performing tasks
