Job Posting: Prototype Machinist

 1st shift, 7AM-3PM, Monday-Friday

Job Duties: 

• Select and position, or fabricate a variety of jigs, fixtures, clamps, holding and staking devices required for.
• assembly and machine sequence.
• Locate, align, tighten, and adjust drills, reamers, buffers, tracks, feeds, speeds, controls, timers, pumps, currents, etc. to regulate and control temperature, cycle, charge, travel, tension, pressure, depth, length, size, weld, lap, spray and other equipment and machine sequences.
• Perform machine and equipment tryouts and make any indicated corrections or adjustments. Maintain and repair department equipment and machinery, and tooling in order to maintain optimum operating conditions within the department.
• Lubricate, and maintain assembly and machine equipment in neat and orderly condition.
• Diagnose equipment difficulties, make minor replacements of electrodes, hoses, clamps, cutting tools, etc.
• Repair or replace minor equipment failures such as but not limited to tube holders, or valves.
• Maintain checks on various equipment and machines within area of assignment.

Note: This position does require assembly experience. The position will require additional training for setting up the machine, and how to read and interpret blueprints/schematics
