DULUTH — Six Gwinnett shining stars came into view Thursday morning.
The Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce’s Partnership Gwinnett program partnered with Gwinnett Technical College to honor a half dozen manufacturers and supply chain companies at the Fourth Annual Movers & Makers Awards breakfast. The awards honor companies that are based in the county and work in the manufacturing and distribution industry.
“The Movers & Makers Awards have distinguished themselves by celebrating cutting-edge innovation and highlighting the dynamic, progressive companies that will keep our community competitive and sustain future economic growth,” said Nick Masino, the chamber’s senior vice-president of economic development and Partnership Gwinnett, in a statement.
Winton Machine won the Small Manufacturer of the Year Award while PartnerTech took the ‘Medium Manufacturer’ title and Nidec Elesys Americas received the ‘Large Manufacturer’ award. National DCP LLC received the Supply Chain Pioneer of the Year Award and Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration was named the Corporate Citizen Award winner. Hire Dynamics won the Most Valuable Provider Award.
The winning companies received high praise from county officials who attended the ceremony, including commission Chairwoman Charlotte Nash, who highlighted their dedication to their work.
“All of our Movers & Makers finalists demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their manufacturing and supply chain businesses,” said Nash in a statement. “We were delighted to honor such a diverse representation of Gwinnett’s best companies at this event and applaud them for the important role they play in our community.”
