Job Posting: CDL Switcher/Yard Jockey

Hire Dynamics of Concord is NOW hiring for SWITCHERS/YARD JOCKEY OPERATORS  for a national distribution company in the Concord area.

Shift and Pay for the Forklift Operator:

Weekend Days: 7am – 7pm Sat,Sun,Mon3pm-3am $19.75

Week Nights: 7pm – 7am Tuesday – Friday $20.00

Move trailers as directed from staged location to assigned locations, and ensure all legal requirements are met. Perform system yard checks and correct noted discrepancies. Maintain yard control by managing trailer spotting by outside carriers and report any noted damages or accidents that occur on Distribution Technology property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Operate a yard switcher proficiently enough to meet the minimum movement requirement to support facility operations.
•
Through a complete understanding of length and axle weighting requirements by state as published in the CFR49, set the axle length to meet those legal requirements by state.
•
Work with wireless clients handheld, lift, and truck mount.
•
Utilize PCs to access multiple systems.
•
Must be able to perform a minimum of 12 switcher moves per hour.
•
Fill out all required records that include but not limited to daily inspection report, movement logs, and any required seal logs or bills of lading.
•
Follow work instructions received either in verbal or written form.
•
Must be flexible to schedule and move between areas of the Warehouse as dictated by operational needs.
•
Review activity periodically during the shift to ensure all team members are on task to reach expected goals.
•
Must be able to provide simple direction to team members working in their receiving areas.
•
Work independently with minimal direction
