Overview

Description

Electronic/Debug Technician- responsible for the repair and troubleshooting of printed circuit board assemblies, mechanical & electrical assemblies within the manufacturing operation. The Electronic Technician performs a wide variety of activities including providing daily and weekly failure reports and assist with daily, weekly, and monthly production KPI’s (Key Performance Index).

Hours:

Day Shift- 7:00-3:30PM Monday-Friday with overtime as needed

Pay:

$18 (possibility to increase once hired on permanently)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level
  • Operate electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and conducts special tests as required
  • Perform standard testing processes on a variety of electronic products and sub-assemblies for function or quality
  • Preferred Qualifications: 2+ year of experience as a component level Debug
  • Responsible for performing the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits and assemblies
  • Read and understand PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) schematics and technical drawings, data-sheets, and written work instructions
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel
  • Collaborate with engineering on functional issues and procedure updates
  • Assist with the installation, debug, and validation of process equipment
  • Develop and maintain Debug Guide to troubleshoot PCBA
  • Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products
  • Record test results and maintain all applicable documentation
  • Perform a variety of tasks as assigned

  • The Electronic Technician works in a manufacturing environment and on the production floor.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.

Skills and Specifications:

  • Must possess excellent PCBA schematics and component level troubleshooting skills
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as in group settings
  • 2+ year of experience as a component level Debug
  • Be well organized and able to multi-task
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Have experience using electronic test equipment
  • Be experienced and able to use hand tools and small power tools
  • Be able to read and understand technical drawings, data-sheets, and written work instructions
  • Requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
