Hire Dynamics is looking to identify an experienced Quality Inspector for a Career Opportunity!  This is a skilled position and we are looking for candidates with consistent and recent experience as a Quality Inspector.  Great paying opportunity with an established manufacturing company in Danville, VA!  

Quality Inspector is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to inspect, program, processes are performed per AS9100 quality procedures and customer contract requirements. This role could require more than 50% of time spent on the floor, interacting with fellow employees and customer and government representatives. 

Pay:  $20.00/hr – $23.00/hr (DOE)

Schedule:  Mon-Fri, 6:00am – 2:30pm

Job Duties as a Quality Inspector:

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications and requirements.
  • Program and run CNC, CMM or Faro portable CMM. Need to be able to create proper alignments of complex parts.
  • Perform in-process inspections/audits at individual workstations.
  • Perform final product and assembly inspections and tests.
  • Perform first piece inspections.
  • Inspect vendor supplied items for compliance.
  • Perform gauge and maintain log documenting calibrations.
  • Perform internal audits per AS9100 quality system requirements.
  • Interact with customer and government inspectors/quality development personal. 
  • Use a variety of handheld tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, hardness testers, bour gauges, thread gauges and other measurement devices. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements to be considered for a Quality Inspector opportunity:

  • Associates degree or equivalent technical school training.
  • Experience programming and running bridge and/or Faro Arm style CMMs.
  • Problem solver with ability to take initiative.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work in a team environment. 
  • Able to operate in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • 4-5 years of Inspection experience, preferred.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with the AS9100 quality system is desirable.
  • Familiarity with DoD/Mil specifications and processes desirable.
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex blueprints and customer specifications and requirements.
  • Must be able to climb, squat and stand on your feet for long periods of time. Able to lift 40 pounds.
