It’s always exciting news when one of our branch offices gets too big for its britches. In this case, Greenville has relocated to a new and larger office more centrally located to its ever-growing client base. The move was also necessary to accommodate job growth in the region.
Tanya Carter, Branch Manager for Greenville, sees mostly positive trends affecting Greenville’s employment landscape in 2015 and the near future. “Opportunities for employment are good and our employment growth rate has steadily increased annually by about two percent since the most recent recession,” says Carter. “Much of the new job growth we’ve seen has been in the manufacturing sector over the last three years.”
She and the Hire Dynamics team are also keeping tabs on other factors that will influence employment: “South Carolina jobs are growing, but the greatest need are jobs in the middle skills, requiring an Associate Degree or Certificate. This represents 45 percent of available jobs in the state. But only 29 percent of the available workforce possesses these middle skills. This skills gap has been an issue in job placements here in the Upstate.”
